Turbofan engine with afterburner and variable area nozzle (designed by Lulka Design Bureau – affiliate of UMPO, PJSC). The engine has been under serial production since 1981. It is installed in Su-27, Su-30MKK and other modifications of Su-27 aircraft. It is operated in a wide range of heights and flight speeds, it provides unique maneuverability to the aircraft. The engine is supplied with the Aircraft Accessories Gearbox with aircraft aggregates mounted on it including gas turbine engine GTDE-117-1 (starter and generator).
